Remember when Mika Miko disbanded and you were super sad? Don't worry, cause the Clavin sisters are back as the L.A. duo Bleached, who will bring their garage rock to the Subterranean on Saturday, April 27th. Their debut album Ride Your Heart was a doozy, and Jessica and Jennifer (or should we call her Victor Fandgore?), known for killing their live shows, are sure to melt some faces at this one. The Clavins are joined by indie-pop duo Ex Cops, Brooklyn-based Hunters, and the hometown trio Vamos, which is one serious lineup that you shouldn't miss. The show is 17+, and doors are at 9pm. Bring your leather jackets and stop by the CHIRP table.

Today, let’s give birthday wishes to the king of the twang guitar, Duane Eddy. Eddy hooked up with Lee Hazlewood on a series of classic instrumentals in the late ‘50s. In order to get the proper echo for Eddy’s records, Hazlewood purchased a 2000 gallon water tank for Duane to record in. This only added to robust instrumental classics like “Rebel Rouser”, his version of the Peter Gunn theme and “Cannonball”. Eddy amassed 15 Top 40 hits in all, and is one of the most influential guitarists of the pre-Beatles era. He is still active today, and just last year, released an album produced by one of his disciples, Richard Hawley. In honor of Mr. Eddy, please grab your iPod or MP3 player, hit shuffle and share the first 10 songs that come up.

To preface this article, Audiotree is a Chicago-based hodge-podge of band management, concert promoters and most notably, their live video/audio in-studio sessions with supreme, unaltered audio quality. All three of these bands have recorded sessions with Audiotree and can be found at Audiotree.tv.
