Jason Crock writesThe DIY Trunk Show Returns to the Broadway Armory on Saturday, November 17

The DIY Trunk Show returns this Saturday, November 17, from 10 AM to 5 PM. This will be the local craft fair’s 10th year running and it’s second year in the Broadway Armory, at 5917 North Broadway St. (near the Thorndale Red line stop).

The show has expanded this year, taking up the whole of the Armory to fit in over 170 vendors, all local merchants selling handmade art, crafts, jewlery, clothing, paper goods, and much more—including food and drink from Wishbone. It’s an all-day opportunity to support local artists and business people while getting in some early holiday shopping, and CHIRP DJs will be on-hand to provide the perfect soundtrack to your patronage!

More information, including directions and a vendor map, can be found at diytrunkshow.com.

CHIRP welcomed Dan Deacon (and his band) to a packed show at Lincoln Hall last week the day after the Presidential elections. If you've never experienced a Dan Deacon show then you must know that their set is filled with energy, audience participation and political commentary. The audience participation started out small by simply urging the audience to point up toward the light or place their hand on their neighbor’s head. This swiftly escalated into a full-on dance party in the middle off the floor where Dan personally picked out people from the crowd to shake what their momma gave ‘em.

Here at CHIRP, we want to make sure to provide you with the best listening experience possible. Which is why we’d like to find out more about you. We’re proud to announce our listener survey , which will help us learn about how, when and why you listen to CHIRP Radio.

This is a quick 20 question survey, which shouldn’t take you more than 10 minutes to complete. It was quite a challenge to masterfully craft such a short, yet effective survey. But atCHIRP Radio, we are professionals.

So click here to take the survey. Make sure to enter your email address at the bottom of the form to be entered to win the $100 Visa Gift Card. The survey will run through the end of 2012, and we’ll notify the winner soon after.
