Before his headlining show as Schubas, Ahmed Gallab, best known as DFA Records' Sinkane, talked to CHIRP's Jessi D about the therapeutic process that was making his 2014 album, Mean Love. A former collaborator with Yeasayer, Caribou and Of Montreal, Gallab's music combines funk, jazz, country, and rock into a powerfully soulful style that is distinctly his own.
