CHIRP's Dylan Peterson caught up with Yoni backstage at Lincoln Hall where the controversial folk rapper shrugged off ouroboros by comparing his work to Picasso, then graciously offered up a pointed response to the notoriously negative review his 2012 album, Mumps Etc., received from the Internet's most notorious indie rock site.

Scott Lucas, lead singer of Chicago staple Local H and Scott Lucas and the Married Men, talks to CHIRP about the presidential election, his efforts to get people to vote, and the latest Local H album, "Hallelujah... I'm a Bum," an album that focused heavily on Chicago politics and the state of the nation. The album was released in time for the 2012 election, but Lucas thinks its message reaches far beyond. CHIRP's Dylan Peterson spent some time with Star Slinger after the great Lollapalooza storm of 2012 to discuss the key differences between an electronic artist's live set versus a DJ set, the thrills of hanging out with Chief Keef and Skrillex, and the joys of getting wretched in Chicago. Star Slinger's debut album is due in 2013.
