Hannah Enstrom was a regular contributor for her hometown’s local paper reviewing kids’ products when she was 9 and that is pretty much the extent of her professional writing career thus far.

Her celebrity encounters are all the worst people you can possibly think of, and she often cries in work meetings with her supervisor (who is very nice about it). She is also the co-producer of the bimonthly wacky variety show Movie Club at Bric-a-Brac Records.

First Time: First Ask - Fraxiom

Fraxiom is a writer, producer, and performer of music and musical ideas. With hits early in their career like the seminal 21st-century anthem "Thos Moser" as part of Food House (Fraxiom's duo project with super-producer Gupi) and the cheeky Skrillex reprise "scawy monstews and nice spwites :3," Fraxiom's stardom ignited brightly in early 2020 and was catapulted into the Fifth Dimension.

Since then, having toured the US coast-to-coast, having sold out shows across the UK, and enjoying nods from Dog Show Records founder Dylan Brady and PC Music founder A.G. Cook, Fraxiom is a luminous, musical force to be reckoned with.

First Time: First Ask - Ashir Badami

Ashir Badami is quite likely the least interesting person in the room. His only claim to fame is bouncing around South and South East Asia as a kid with his family before somehow landing in Malta where the azure blue seas turned his wanderlust into a love of travel writing and poetry. He has lived in the shadows as a closet writer, and aspiring journalist (Go Medill!), and his passion for writing and literature has endured parochial boarding schools in South India (where Kerouac was banned) and even the vagaries of the West Coast Tech Bro scene where he made his living as a marketing zombie.

He recently returned to the Chicago area with his amazing wife and highly-entertaining five-year-old. He currently teaches media innovation at his alma mater, the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.

First Time: First Wave - Andrew Sa

Actor and Vocalist Andrew Sa has earned the title of Chicago's premiere queer country crooner. Sa's career has always been rooted in songwriting that highlights his easy and elegant voice, but when he met mentor and pioneer Patrick Hagerty of Lavender Country, “Lonesome Andrew” was born. Diving headfirst into the catalogs of Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and other classic songwriters that defined his childhood, Sa easily slipped into this new but familiar persona. It wasn't long before all of Chicago was seeking out his voice.

Sa quickly became the star of The Cosmic Country Showcase, an instant smash hit camp-country revue based out of the Hideout, a bar that has fostered many golden voices for decades. One of those legendary voices, Kelly Hogan (Mavis Staples, Neko Case), instantly recognized Sa's abilities and quickly the two were booking gigs across the city as a duo. The young and talented Liam Kazar (Tweedy, Marrow) also recruited Sa for a duet on his debut album Due North. Sa also created a stunning film, Andrew in Anotherland, which was a celebration of Chicago's many voices that accompanied a live revue at the prestigious public amphitheater Millennium Park. Audiences and fellow artists alike reveled in Sa's intra-generational appeal that, while timeless, is rooted in a definitively young, queer perspective.
