Len has been an announcer for the Cubs since 2005, with WGN and Comcast SportsNet. He started his work in sports broadcasting in 1999 for the Milwaukee Brewers and the Florida Marlins, and worked for WTMJ for 8 years. In addition to sportscasting, Len also has been monumental in charity work with the Len & Bob Bash at House of Blues, and Hot Stove Cool Music. In 2011 Len won the Harry Caray Sportscaster of the Year Award. A native Michigander, Len lives in Chicago with his wife Pam and son, Leo.

She has written about the prison-industrial complex for Truthout, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Nation, Salon, Ms. Magazine, and others. She is the recipient of a Society of Professional Journalists Sigma Chi Award, an Independent Publisher Book Award, and the Women's Prison Association's Sarah Powell Huntington Leadership Award.
