Carpark Records' Dog Bite is former Washed Out touring band member, Phil Jones. CHIRP's Dylan Peterson caught a few minutes with Jones before he opened for Toro y Moi at the Metro. They talked about the end of chillwave, the necessity of name-dropping in music, and trying to be lazy. Dog Bite's debut full-length album, Velvet Changes, released on February 5th, 2013.

Magic Milk is Kenny Alden, Nick Spiese, and Maggie Laleman, but any Chicagoan who likes to get down to bouncy garage rock can be an honorary member of the band. They explained their DIY approach to music, guerilla recording sessions, and having fun with Goons.
