Brilliant album, brilliant musician, and his 2019 tour is one of my top 5 concerts of all time.
Love the complexities of this album along with the fantastic vocal range of Brittany Howard. Also had a chance to see her on tour this year and was blown away. Only artist I have ever heard cover a Prince song, "Breakdown" from Art Official Age, and actually do the song justice.
This was actually my most played album of 2019. It has many easy breeze songs that were perfect for taking a summer stroll.
Dancey, mellow, and lush, this is one of my favorite dance/electronic albums of the year.
Some of the catchiest short tunes and one that really reflects political frustration in "24-Hour Hateful Live!". An underrated album from 2019. Sadly, Yeasayer announced that they were breaking up as a band this year, but I am excited to see what the talented musicians in this band do next.
No one can deny that 2019 was the year of Lizzo! Such a talent and this MN-born is proud she chose to spend time honing her craft in my home state. GO LIZZO!! Excited to see what you do next.
Love these live recorded versions of LCD Soundsystem's songs in Electric Lady Studios. The sound captures the electricity of a live performance without the screaming fans. A few covers are included with "Seconds" by the Human League and Chic's "I Want Your Love".
Original versions of Prince songs. My favorite is the original "Manic Monday" with Wendy and Lisa harmonies.
Jenny is a singer/songwriter goddess.
Includes one of my favorite songs of the year "Make it Better" featuring the amazing Smokey Robinson.
