I know I know, but it really is good. I remember her performance at Pitchfork Festival garnering some not-so-glowing reviews, but maybe we just didn’t have ears for her foray into full-on pop.
More great rock from Nashville! Every year! Bonus points for frontperson Alicia doing time in town at Albini’s studio a few years back.
I finally got on board with this great artist. Look forward to back-cataloguing her stuff!
Varied, groovy, ebullient….LOCAL. And Chance is all over it. “Sunday Candy” performed at Pitchfork in July brought tears to more eyes than just mine.

Katie Crutchfield mixed in just enough melody on this one to make it accessible to ears other than her hardcore fans.
He is so good. Does the cover photo of this album look like a Van Morrison thing, or is it just me? LOCAL!
Not even remotely close to local. The Aussie & her 2 pals throw a great live show, and I’m still not tired of her accent after many many spins.
