Throughout December, CHIRP Radio presents its volunteers’ top albums of 2015. Our next list is from Jessi Roti. 2015 was an interesting year for music -from the controversial to the just flat-out bizarre. For me, many 2015 releases reminded listeners that music's purpose goes beyond providing a soundtrack to party to. The best music is still music with a greater message, from social and civil justice/disobedience to questioning gender roles. Yet, as always-interpreting that message is totally up to you. |
