Welcome to the Alien Broadcast with me, Sarah Spencer. I'm a multi-passionate weirdo that keeps her fingers in many pies, and one of those pies is sweet, sweet music. I've been a DJ at CHIRP since I first moved to Chicago from Vancouver, Canada in 2018, and I've hosted the Saturday morning show since 2020.

I'm a working fine artist, working primarily with textiles making weird, unwashable quilts. My passion for music often mixes into my art, and I've made pieces inspired by Sharon Van Etten, David Bowie, Ibibio Sound Machine, Aldous Harding, Queen Latifah, Fever Ray and more. Other random tidbits: I have a lifelong passion for comedy. I spent time performing improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy. I trained as a dancer for many years in a number of styles, though my favorite moves come from a fusion of belly dance and various urban street styles. I will rip up any dancefloor if the music hits right. I also love to sing and be a general emotive maniac, and I imagine I will do more stuff of this nature in the future. We'll see.
