I am a lifelong music obsessive and vinyl junkie who got hooked early when I bought my first cassette on my own at the mall – Led Zeppelin II.  The power riffs of Led Zeppelin led to the discovery of early Run DMC and early hip hop. My mind was blown and spent most of my teen years learning to play guitar and arguing with close friends about The Beatles. In college, I worked as a DJ at the local campus station. I toured with a live hip-hop jazz ensemble and then transitioned into a career in the nonprofit world.

My love of radio was shaped by the local rock stations in my hometown of Cincinnati and my world dramatically expanded with the advent of internet radio and my discovery of Gilles Peterson.  Gilles’ show opened my ears to spiritual jazz, acid jazz, house, afrobeat, and many others.  On my show, you’ll hear all the references above plus usually something spacey, something funky, and occasionally just a little weird but always something good.
