I host The Friday Spin from noon to 3 pm CST every Friday afternoon. My show is an eclectic mix of new and old indie, world, alternative, punk, rock, jazz, prog, ambient, blues, soul, artist interviews, and anything else that tickles my fancy. If you enjoy Chicago blues, listen to the "Pre-Happy Hour Blues" at 1:55 pm, plus "Cover 3" at 2:25 pm, featuring one obscure original and three cool covers of songs you may or may not recognize. My show also features concert news, Rock & Roll birthdays, and plenty of music trivia. 	Track Notes: The Black Keys upcoming 12th album Ohio Players features a soul cover—but not of the titular Ohio Players. Instead, they cover William Bell’s 1968 single “I Forgot to Be Your Lover.” Billy Idol recorded a hit cover of the song in the ‘80s, but the Keys’ version is faithful to the original. Which means it doesn’t sound much like the garage-rock the band became famous for, substituting swooping strings and big vocals.
