DJ Eco's Ecosystem - Thursdays 10pm - midnight

DJ Eco, known familiarly as Cole, is a 2025 weekly DJ and CHIRP volunteer since Spring 2023.  When doing his undergradate at University of Connecticut, he trained and shadowed with the university radio station - WHUS - but with regards to being on air, CHIRP is his first radio rodeo.  He moved, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, to Chicago in January of 2020 from suburbia, CT, and now lives in the Andersonville neighborhood.  He is a dedicated all-seasons city biker, an aerial circus performer, rock-climber, and enjoys horror/sci-fi movies and books.  Musically, his hearth is in 90's melodic indie rock like Yo La Tengo, Stereolab and Tortoise, and his taste radiates out from there towards spaces as far as hyper pop, experimental electronic, grunge, ethio-jazz, cumbia, highlife, world-wide psychedelic, dream pop, and math rock. In 2024, Eco started DJing house parties with his partner and has an affinity towards highly curated sonic experiences such as exemplefied by My Analog Journal.
