Well, here we are. The Last Four is over, and only two bands remain. Unlike other rounds, there were no tiebreakers or close calls. Instead, dominance came in two familiar forms: the fiery, two-headed garage onslaught of White Mystery, and the boozy, neo-sockhop allure of Modern Vices.
Though they fought valiantly, Twin Peaks and Flesh Panthers fell to these twin beasts, but they'll be back next year. For now, they sit on the sidelines, awaiting the outcome of the final round's titanic contest.
UPDATE 4/20: When the dust settled on Friday, we were all tied up. Thus, like any exciting athletic event that's just not ready to end, we're going to overtime. Voting for OT closes at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.

Ok, CHIRP fans. This is (almost) it. Our Battle of the Bands 2015 is down to its last four competitors. Here they are:
- From the Wilco Region: White Mystery, Chicago's favorite redheads who pulled the upset on Jeff Tweedy and his bros.
- From the Pumpkins Region: Twin Peaks, the heroic slacker lads who sent Billy Corgan back to his artisanal coffin.
- From the Mavis Region: Flesh Panthers, the leather-clad punks who notched another Cinderella win against the Orwells.
- From the Kanye Region: Modern Vices, the reincarnated greasers who stomped the shit out of Andrew Bird's fiddle.
Four will enter, but only two will emerge. Can White Mystery cement their status as the hardest working band in Chicago? Will Twin Peaks benefit from the Lollapalooza bump? Which of our two remaining #8 seeds will live this crazy fairytale to its logical conclusion?
Only you can determine which of these bands makes it next week's final round. Voting for Round Four closes at noon on Thursday, April 9. As always, scope 'em, vote for 'em, and argue about 'em.

The battle for CHIRP Radio's first-ever fan favorite award got serious this week, with the sixteen surviving bands from Round One engaging in e-fisticuffs to grab a few all-important votes. Here are the highlights:

It's the third Friday in March, and we're nearing the midpoint of the greatest four days in American sports. However, just because we spent all day at work watching the NBA stars (and car dealership owners) of tomorrow battle for the NCAA championship doesn't mean we've forgotten our own barcket. Round Two of the 2015 CHIRP Battle of the Bands begins today, and with it come the results from Round One. Some matchups were close: #2 seed White Mystery eeked out a win against #7 seed Serengeti by only six votes. Others weren't quite nailbiters; thanks to a spirited social media campaign, #8 seed Flesh Panthers toppled Chicago legend and #1 seed Mavis Staples for this round's biggest upset. Fellow #1 seed Kanye West also fell, leaving the Panthers and fellow #8 seeds Modern Vices as our tournament's biggest Cinderellas so far.
