These are obviously strange times we are living in, so we asked some of our CHIRP volunteers to tell us about a particular song they like to listen to when things are tough. We're calling it, "The Songs That Get You Through."
Friday Morning DJ Tony Breed writes:
When I’m super stressed, music starts to annoy me. Everything is too up or too down or too something. But Kelly Hogan’s music strikes the perfect balance—when I can’t take it anymore; it soothes me.

From CHIRP DJ Bobby Evers:
The premise of "Store" very silly and convoluted. The narrator wants to leave their partner and is using the excuse, "I'm just going to the store," and then never come back (like a 50's dad saying he's going out for a pack of smokes). She's just not good at goodbyes! She can't talk about it! It is completely ridiculous BUT I LOVE IT. I also feel like "the store" is the only place I'm going to these days. Am I going to the office? Am I going to parties? Am I getting on a crowded subway? No. "I'm just going to the store, to the store, I'm just going to the store. You might not see me anymore anymore, I'm just going to the store."
