Micha Ward Fridays, 9PM
Having grown up in radio at WUNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina during the “Chapel Hill’s the next Seattle” phase, Micha Ward set out to make broadcasting his life and eventually became the engineering director at Muzak. After moving to Chicago for other ventures and realizing his guitar playing career would be stifled by the theft of his rightful stage name by an unnamed guitarist in a band with an unnamed actress (She. Him. Whatever.); he’s come back to radio with CHIRP to atone for his sins of building Muzak into the drone you hear in elevators globally and every time you buy some jeans at the GAP. We can all be redeemed, right?
