Sara started as a CHIRP DJ doing the early bird 6-9AM shift and got pretty comfortable playing a lot of chilled out ambient tunes (think Brian Eno and Boards of Canada) easing everyone into the idea of waking up - for reals, mornings are hard. She's since shifted to the Wednesday afternoon shift (Noon-3PM) and has kicked it up some. Sara tends toward the experimental whether that's jazz, math rock, noise, electronic, etc. doesn't really matter, and she enjoys building sets that you wouldn't necessarily think should go together. In addition there are often puns, bizarre news stories, self-deprecating one-offs, and a borderline unhealthy fascination with the weather (typical for most Chicagoans, no?). In short, things can get a bit weird sometimes, but fun weird.
