Caitlin Lavin Mondays, 9PM
Caitlin has been DJing since 1998, when she randomly stumbled into a local college radio station as a wide-eyed, baggy-pants-wearing 15-year-old. From there, she developed her love of independent radio and indie music. As a graduate of the radio program at Columbia College Chicago, she quickly learned that commercial radio hardly has anything to do with music, and so she turned to the music industry for a career. She currently works for Carrot Top Distribution, where she sells records to stores across the country and feeds her own vinyl addiction.
Caitlin’s favorite genres include post-punk, new wave and indie pop, but recently, she’s been indulging in the new garage-psych revival. She’s a sucker for anything with female vocals.
