CHIRP's Dylan Peterson got to hang out backstage at the Mid with Classixx before their Pitchfork Fest after-party. Michael David and Tyler Blake talked about the pitfalls of the nu-disco genre, making dance music that they can be proud of when they're old, and going to creepy S&M after-parties in Chicago. Classixx's first album, Hanging Gardens, came out May 14th, 2013, to heavy play on summer mixes everywhere.

Sub Pop's Still Corners met with CHIRP's Cher Vincent before their Chicago show at Lincoln Hall with CHVRCHES. The core duo of the band, Greg Hughes and Tessa Murray talked about the humble beginning stages of Still Corners, and how they eventually turned the project into a full band. Their second full-length album, Strange Pleasures, released on May 7th, 2013.

It's been nearly 20 years since writer/director Quentin Tarantino's second film, "Pulp Fiction," cemented his status as a Hollywood icon and inspired a whole theatrical wave of wise-cracking gangsters. A B-movie junkie, Tarantino has drawn from decades of cinema during his career, paying tribute to genres as diverse as spaghetti westerns ("Django Unchained") and samurai films ("Kill Bill").
