This Thursday night, September 13, CHIRP is pleased to partner with the Lincoln Square Potbelly store for a station fundraiser. CHIRP will receive 25% of all sales between the hours of 5-8pm.

To make things even more fun, we’ll feature some great live music from local acts. Here’s the schedule:

5:30-6pm Abbi Rajasekhar
6:45-7:15pm Briar Rabbit
7:30-8pm Poor Elvis

And we’ll raffle off a Lincoln Square prize package with gift certificates from local businesses.

CHIRP is the proud music provider for the official pop up dining event here in Chicago on Friday, August 24 at 7:00pm at a secret location, organized by Dîner en Blanc Chicago.

Over 1,000 diners will participate in the prestigious event, coming from 20 meeting points throughout Chicago, dressed entirely in white, led by a group of volunteers, to the secret meeting place, promising to have a spectacular view!

In true Dîner en Blanc style, participants will be asked to bring their own tables, chairs, food and drinks. As an added treat, world-renowned Chef Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia will be creating gourmet picnic baskets that may be purchased in advance for the event, complete with wine pairings.

Dîner en Blanc and Dîner en Blanc International Inc. has grown to include 24 host cities globally. This year, Chicago is pleased to join these prestigious ranks by officially launching this celebrated event in affiliation with the original Dîner en Blanc International and will run in accordance with the high standards put forth by the Dîner en Blanc International Inc. trademark.

CHIRP Radio is proud to partner with the Chicago Human Rhythm Project for this year’s Thanks4Giving program. This year’s event features Global Rhythms, the first concert series in the United States dedicated to American tap and contemporary percussive arts companies. It’s all happening at the Harris Theatre, November 26 and 27.

So take a break from the turkey and Aunt Edna’s new jello mold and come enjoy the talents of dance groups from around the world, like Step Afrika, Ensemble Espanol, and The Mexican Folkloric Dance Company of Chicago featuring the Grammy-nominated Sones de Mexico.
