DJ Bylamplight (aka Kumar McMillan) constantly listens to new and old music but gets bored of hearing the same style over and over again. Whether it’s a long lost 45, a brand new song, a random track on soundcloud.com or a Chicago band that he wants others to hear, listeners can rest assured that it has gone through a long, arduous triage process before getting played. For those who want to dance, he will make them boogie. For those who fall asleep, he will try not to wake them. He DJs around Chicago from time to time and helps operate Addenda Records. He has a strong aversion to bright overhead light.
