This trio featuring 3 of the most talented & popular songwriters around these days certainly justifies it. Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers & Lucy Dacus have all recently released fantastic albums & they're all still quite young. BOYGENIUS is a rare album where 3 talents get to shine individually & together & their styles blend together perfectly. There are nods to early 2000s emo & even alt-country in some places but otherwise those of you familiar with these talented women will not be surprised by the excellent songs on this EP.
