A fantastic live document of RADIOHEAD touring their early 2000's one-two punch of KID A & AMNESIAC. It not only features high energy perfomances of now classic tracks like "The National Anthem" & "Idioteque", but it closes with a live version of "True Love Waits", a track that wouldn't show up on a Radiohead studio album for FIFTEEN YEARS(!) until it closed out 2016's MOON SHAPED POOL!

RADIOHEAD opened up the 21st century with two of the best records ever released - 2000's "Kid A" and 2001's "Amnesiac" - radically shifting their sound from icy, lyrical art rock into something more abstract, more electronic and more alien. While both albums were made during the same sessions and intended as a singular release, the band chose to split them up for the sake of keeping them (relatively) concise. Over two decades later, they've been combined into "Kid A Mnesia", a massive set that also includes a bonus collection of recordings and previously unreleased songs. These two albums sound as vital and fresh as ever when blended into one, showcasing a band at a peak of creativity. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION.

Another exciting stylistic shift for RADIOHEAD for 2011 - this collection of tunes (so soon!) focuses quite a bit on the rhythm section, with lots of complex beats and melodic bass lines pinning the atmospheric keyboards and guitars onto the band's usual but eccentric song structures. We love the restless spirits, and these guys just keep pushing the envelope of "pop music". And again, we must insist, pay attention to the details - repeated listens will pay off handsome dividends. RECOMMENDED!

Us regular folks knew something was up in mid 2016 when all of RADIOHEAD's social media posts were deleted & their website gradually faded to a white screen. Obviously something was amiss & we were thankfully treated to a stream of the first single & the full album soon after. As we all mostly know now, it was more than worth the wait. Their previous record "King of Limbs" is regarded by some a misstep by the band despite the fact a few of the songs have become staples in their live show. There's very little to complain with this one as the lads from Oxford have made their finest LP since "In Rainbows." Many die hard fans already know many of these tunes as the band has been wood shedding them at shows for a few years now. The song "True Love Waits" is a legit oldie that appeared on the "I Might Be Wrong" live album with Thom on acoustic guitar but this version has been re-worked on piano with some studio trickery in the background. Perhaps the most exciting aspect of this album though is that Jonny Greenwood's years of scoring films has finally reared its head on a RADIOHEAD record. Many of the songs have complex string arrangements & it adds a remarkably rich texture. Basically "A Moon Shaped Pool" is one of the best bands in the world using all of the tools at their disposal on one incredible collection of songs. RECOMMENDED OF COURSE!!

20 years ago while the music press was wasting their time trying to determine whether BLUR or OASIS were the best band from the U.K., RADIOHEAD released what would come be known as one of the best art rock records of the 20th century. "Ok Computer" still sounds incredibly fresh & brimming with great ideas & in honor of its anniversary, it's been remastered & re-released with the b-sides from those sessions. More exciting than that though, 3 legendarily unreleased tracks are released for the first time here & I guess we shouldn't be too shocked that they're great songs. Anniversary reissues can seem kind of pointless but we have to say that this one is more than worth picking up & filing next to your original copy. RECOMMENDED!!!
