Until we’re able to make a custom CHIRP Radio Android application, you’ll need to install a free streaming audio application onto your Android Device and add CHIRP Radio as a favorite. We recommend using A Online Radio or StreamFurious.

A Online Radio Instructions:

1. In the Android Market, download and install the “A Online Radio” application.
2. Open the application.
3. Under the “Live” tab, tap the option that reads “Add Channel”.
4. Input our URL into the Channel URL feed: http://chirpradio.org/listen
5. CHIRP Radio should now be included in your “Favorites”

Until we’re able to make a custom CHIRP Radio iPhone application, you’ll need to install a free streaming audio application onto your iPhone/iPod Touch and add CHIRP Radio as a favorite. We recommend using FStream.

1. Download FStream from the iTunes Application Store (Link will open in iTunes) and if you download it to your computer make sure to sync your device so it gets installed.
2. Once installed, launch the application. In the menu at the bottom of the page, click the Favorites icon to go to the favorites section of the application.
   
3. In the Favorites section, click the Edit icon in the upper left corner of the screen to edit your list of favorites.
   
4. Click the + icon next to “Add new webradio” to create a new favorite for CHIRP Radio.
   
5. This will pull up a form to fill in the stations information. For the name, insert CHIRP Radio. For the URL, insert http://chirpradio.org/listen and then you can leave Format and Bitrate (kbs) empty as those will be filled in when the app connects to the station. When filled in, tap the save button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
   
6. At this point, you’ll be taken back to the edit favorites list seen in step 4, but now with CHIRP Radio listed as well. Tap the Done button in the upper left to save your favorites.
7. Now, you need to enable the app to connect to the cell network (if on an iPhone and not using WiFi). Click the “More” icon in the bottom menu all the way on the right. This will load up the preferences screen listed below. Flip the top slider so that Cellular Network is set to on.
   
8. With the favorite added and the app set to connect via the cellular network, click the “Play” button on the left side of the bottom menu. This loads the main app screen and CHIRP Radio will now be in your list of stations. Tap the name of the station and the stream will load and start playing.
