Claire says Re your question about recent canonical albums….Some potential ones, except for the Kills I’m not sure if they are all “universal” enough to fit the bill, though: (1) The Blow, Paper Television; (2) Jay Reatard, Blood Visions; (3) The Kills, Midnight Boom (that came out after ’05, right?); (4) Neko Case, Fox Confessor or Middle Cyclone; there’s a good argument for Arcade Fire – The Suburbs, also.
